The Nordhoff High School softball team has had a difficult spring so far, but a recent victory over the Carpinteria Warriors has the Lady Rangers looking forward to more success as their season continues. So far Nordhoff is 4-12 on the season and they are 1-1 in Tri-Valley League play.
Head coach Don Rodarte said, “It's been a rough start and we’ve struggled getting a solid lineup on the field. Now that we have it, we need to work on our confidence. We lost our league opener Tuesday against St. Bonaventure. They have a solid team and doesn't look like they skipped a beat after winning CIF last year. But, that's OK as we told our players, the beauty about league play is we get a second chance to face teams.”
