Ojai forming plan for more park upgrades

Since 2009, when the “Great Recession” began to loosen its grip on the U.S. economy, Ojai’s primarily tourism-driven economy has begun recovering. And lately, city coffers — largely funded by the hotel tax — have stabilized enough to prompt not only current capital improvement projects, but also the planning of future endeavors.
The Ojai Parks and Recreation Commission is taking this as an opportunity to proactively assess the future of Ojai’s recreational resources, creating a list of annual capital improvement projects, as well as recruiting a consultant to develop a master plan for Sarzotti Park.
