The journey of Tony Henney continues. After leading Nordhoff to back-to-back CIF Southern Section Divisional championships, Henney left Ojai to take over the Trabuco Hills program a little more than a year ago. Henney continued his winning ways there as he led the Mustangs to a CIF Southern Section title in just his first season to capture his third championship ring in three years. On Tuesday, the Nordhoff alumnus announced he would be coming back to Ventura County to take the head-coaching job at Westlake High School. Henney cited needing to be closer to family as his wife Tess continues her fight with cancer as a deciding factor in the decision. The Westlake program is one of the best programs in all of California, which was also attractive to Henney who continues to climb the coaching ranks. See Friday's Ojai Valley News for more information and an interview with Henney.
